Periodontal Care
A smile of good health and enduring beauty depends upon healthy gums.
Dr. Ross begins most of his patients with a thorough periodontal (gum)
exam.
Periodontal disease is elusive. In fact, many people have it and do
not
even know it! Today, more people experience tooth loss from periodontal
disease than cavities. In fact, over 85% of the population have some
periodontal disease, due to the problem being misdiagnosed or ignored.
Symptoms
Unfortunately, there are often no symptoms of periodontal disease. Gums
can recede, leaving teeth vulnerable to decay, abscesses and loss – without
bleeding or tenderness.
Minor symptoms include:
- Bleeding when brushing or flossing
- Puffiness or tenderness of the gums
- Halitosis or bad breath
- Loose feeling teeth
Dr. Ross and his team of highly trained hygienists offer advanced non-surgical
periodontal therapy to restore the health.
